Term 3 Week 3
Weekly 5 with Leadership
Gullarn ngheeree - Welcome to this beautiful place.
Happy Catholic Education Week! It is wonderful to be back in our beautiful community. ‘Faith, Hope and Love’ is the theme of this week - these three words roll off the tongue very easily and are the threads that are woven in so many ways within our school community.
Faith - an invitation to a relationship with God whose love is boundless
Hope - that, even on those days where challenges arise, that one is held in this love
Love - for God and shown through our love for one another, modelled on the love and compassion of Jesus’ ministry
Our evening of Art last night showcased some of our children’s expressions of faith, hope and love. To see the delight and excitement of children at this event, the pride of parents and the opportunities to gather as a school community are also evidence of these threads that bind us.
Earlier this week, a letter was emailed from our Director, Michael McCusker, also attached below. St Francis Catholic primary school is in my blood. It has been since 2005 when our school opened and I first walked through the blue gates both as an educator and as a parent. My roles over these many years have been numerous, with the last three years as Principal of our community. In 2025, I will return to the position of Assistant Principal, Religious Education and a member of the Inclusive Curriculum team. It is through my faith and my love of teaching children that I am drawn back to these roles. My commitment to the Leadership team and as Principal for 204 is unwavering.
God's blessings on your weekend,
PAX et bonum - Peace and all goodness,
Meredith

Fee Advice #4
Please find for your information, Advice #4, developed to inform our Catholic Education families of the school fee structure, from 2025 onwards. Previous Advice pieces outlined the new Federal Government Funding model (Gonski model), the impact on School Fees for Catholic Schools, and the need to align with the Federal Government’s means-tested Capacity to Contribute assessment of the school community. As outlined in Advice #4, CEDR School Fees will be presented as an “All-Inclusive Fee”, rather than the previous school fees model of Tuition Fees, plus several school-based levies and charges.
P & F Group
Last night, our school community gathered for a memorable evening at “A Night at the Gallery,”. This event beautifully showcased the artistic talents of our students in honor of Catholic Education Week. The gallery was filled with vibrant colours, thoughtful designs, and profound messages in this year’s theme of Faith, Hope and Love.
We owe a massive thank you to everyone involved. From the beautiful array of food and beverages, wonderful raffle prizes, artwork displays and children’s entertainment; many hands worked together to coordinate this event and we are really grateful to everyone who participated and made this evening a success. Your support and enthusiasm are what make our school community so special.
