Term 2 Week 1
A Message from Leadership

Welcome to Term 2! We are excited to introduce our 'new look' newsletter, a result of the valuable feedback you provided at the end of last term regarding our school communication platforms. We believe this new format will enhance our connection with you and keep you informed about the wonderful things happening at our school.
We will be trialling this new approach to our newsletter and will continue to seek your feedback. Your input is crucial, as parent partnerships are part of the foundations of our community at St Francis Catholic Primary School.
Additionally, in Weeks 5 and 10, we will issue a 'Celebration of Learning' newsletter. This special edition will showcase the achievements and activities of our students throughout the term, providing a glimpse into their learning journeys and the vibrant life of our school.
We look forward to your continued support and feedback as we trial these changes. Together, we can ensure that our communication remains effective and meaningful.
Looking forward to seeing you at the ANZAC Day march tomorrow! Please meet us at the Woolworths Carpark at 8:15am. Parents are welcome to walk at the back of the student cohort.
Mrs Samantha Suthers

Weekly Reflection

Loving God,
We thank You for the life of Pope Francis, for his faithful example of living the joy of the Gospel in real, relevant ways. He praised God the creator through his life that was full of encounter and compassion. With a loving heart and eyes of faith he showed us what it means to follow in the footsteps of Jesus, caring for all of creation.
In this Jubilee Year we pray for the courage to continue his mission of love, by embracing humility, peace, and love in our daily lives. May we be instruments of peace, inspired by his example to serve others with compassion so that Christ’s light enflames the world.
Eternal rest give to Francis, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace and rise in glory.
Amen.
There will be a Memorial Mass for Pope Francis on Monday 28th April at Star of the Sea, Gladstone at 5:30pm.
